ANA STAŠIĆ
 

Ana Stašić was born in 1992 in Belgrade, Serbia.

She acquired her elementary and secondary musical education at school Vatroslav Lisinski in Belgrade, simultaneously attending three streams: piano, theory and doublebass, with Professor Ivan Bokor as her mentor.


After obtaining her Bachelor’s musical degree at the University of Art in Belgrade, Ana graduated as a Master’s theorist of art in 2016 under the mentorship of Professor Gordana Karan.
After that, Ana commenced her studies at the University of Kragujevac, String instrument department – doublebass, with Professor Srđan Stošić. She graduated as a Master performer on doublebass in 2022. 

 
She participated in many competitions and music festivals during her education and career, the most notable being the International Music Festival in Shanghai, Belgrade Festival Bassomania, and Nishville Jazz Festival. She also received a scholarship from the Foundation for Young Talents of the Republic of Serbia during her studies.

Ana attended many seminars and masterclasses in music pedagogy and performance but also participated in several artistic projects: International Student Week in Belgrade, Flow, Music of Hope, Music for Social Change, etc. 

Now she works as a doublebass teacher in the music school „Petar Konjović“ in Belgrade and as an associate instructor in projects of the organization Music Art Project. She has been the doublebass player of the „Tanguango“ quintet since 2021, which has performed at numerous European tango festivals, most recently at Festival Tango en Tarbes in France.
